Final Frontier Walkthrough

Building Infrastructure

Wake Up, It's Time For School

On the next turn, "New Earth" finished building an "Advocate of Survival" and I put her to work on another. We need to spread the "Survivalism" value to our entire empire, so that they can all build a "Survival Dome" and increase their influence growth. I sent this one to "New Tokyo".

On the next turn, "New London" finished working on it's "Intelligence Center", so I put her to work on a "University" to increase it's science output and boost it's influence growth at the same time (see image to the left). On the same turn, "New Paris" completed it's "Interplanetary Beacon", so I put her to work on a "University", as well.

Road To Gold

On the next turn, "New Earth" completed it's fourth "Advocate of Survival" and I put her to work on the last one (for a while at least).

On the same turn, one of our scout ships discovered a "Colony Ship" in some space wreckage, which is not necessarily a good thing, considering we are in the economic building phase of our empire's development. I guess it's ok, because we did receive a nice cash deposit from one of our other scouts, earlier. I decided that our cash reserves will be able to hold out long enough for our economy to stabilize, even with the addition of another colony. I sent it over to settle the nearby star system, which had 6 quality planets available to populate and work. One drawback that is inherit with it's location, is that it is very near to one of our rivals, which will cause more tension as it's cultural borders expand. No matter, we knew that war was inevitable in this game, from the beginning.

On the same turn, the advocate that we sent from "New Earth" arrived in "New Tokyo" and the "Survivalism" value was successful in spreading to that system. The same goes for "New London". On the next turn, our "Construction Ship" finished building the warp lane from "New Earth" to "New Dubai", so I put it to work on building another warp lane, but this time toward the prize, our coveted gold resource.

No, Not Like That

On the next turn, "New Earth" finished building it's fifth advocate and I decided that we needed one more for our accidental new colony to the south east. I sent this one toward "New Paris", to spread the value there.

At the same time, "New Tokyo" finished working on it's "Intelligence Center", so I put her to work on a "Survival Dome".

Most importantly, "New Dubai" finished building it's "Survival Dome", so I put her to work on a "University" to further increase it's influence growth. I was shocked, however, that one of our scouts found another "Colony Ship"!! Enough is enough, already! I guess we can handle it, especially since we are only one turn away from discovering "Domestic Development", which will allow us to build "Banking Systems" and "Recycling Centers", so maybe the timing is perfect.

Some Like It Hot

I decided to send this one over to colonize the star system near our other neighbor, so we can antagonize him, as well. Unfortunately, we may end up fighting a two front war in the very near future! Luckily, however, we had partially prepared for the possibility of an early war, several turns ago. I think we can handle it.

The Answer To Our Problems

On the next turn, we finished researching "Domestic Development", which is what our empire really needs right now. Not only will we be able to alleviate the health problems in our three largest star systems with the construction of "Recycling Centers", but we can now build "Banking Systems", which will stabilize and strengthen our empire's economy. Yay!

Play Ball

With the completion of our research on "Domestic Development", I decided on "Empowered Citizenry" next, because it will allow us to build "Sports Arenas" to alleviate the other problem we are having in our largest star systems, namely, unhappiness.

Seems Like Deja Vu

On the same turn, "New Earth" completed another advocate and rather than build another for our latest colony (yet to be founded), I decided we had to build a "Recycling Center" to alleviate it's health problem. It is actually a very urgent matter, because our capitol will be growing in four turns and the problem is only going to get worse if we don't take care of it. Of course, a "Banking System" will be installed soon after.

Not forgetting the advocate, I sent him towards the future location of the most promising of our newest colonies.

With the addition of two unplanned new colonies (yet, to be settled), our next session will be that of a fierce economic battle that we must overcome, yet again.

<Next up, Unplanned Expansion>
